We are currently looking for these roles:
Volunteer Counsellors – BACP registered. Based in Warrington. *You have to be in your 2nd year of Counselling training.* The volunteer would need to be able to provide at least 3 hours/week (2 x 2hr sessions and 1 hour admin time (or more) during normal working hours 9-5 Mon-Fri. We do provide a room and refreshments. FEMALE ONLY.
Volunteer Marketing/Media person – specializing in raising our profile through website optimization, social media posting and monitoring, leveraging opportunities locally. Available as needed Monday – Friday, can work remotely.
Volunteer Gardener – We have two properties with gardens that need maintaining on a regular basis. Mowing the lawn, pruning bushes, trees etc. Weeding, tidying and general garden work. Prefer normal working hours, happy with once a month, or one a fortnight – whatever works for the person making the offer.
Volunteer Bookkeeper – Sage guru, able to reconcile bank and credit card accounts, run reports from Sage and keep the accounts functionality running smoothly. Based Warrington. Monday – Friday – hours negotiable. Can work remotely.
Volunteer Refuge Support Worker – caring individual with empathy towards women who have experienced domestic abuse. Able to listen and support these women at their most vulnerable and difficult times. Able to organize events for the women to access. Complete referral forms and processes. Liaise with partners to ensure the women get the best support possible. Warrington based. On-site support.
Monday – Friday, flexible on hours but no more than 15 hrs/week.

Refuge based activity Co-Ordinator - Arrange any events within refuge. Research local events the women can take part in. Update the notice board regularly. Create and update our timetable of events.
Volunteer Events Co-Ordinator – identify and raise awareness of all events locally that the women can access. Research local websites and keep our own website and social media updated. Organize events in the Refuge and in the community that meet the needs of the Women we support – make sure these are advertised widely and the women are aware of them. Attend the monthly women’s forums. Can be a mix of on-site and remote. Monday – Friday – no more than 15 hrs/week.

Administrative Support - Support all admin functions / type letters / monitor generic email address / Print / research plus other tasks.

Fundraising (community) - Identifying opportunities to raise funds in the community, managing this process, taking part (holding donation tins etc.). Arranging for relevant licenses to carry our community fundraising.

Community based Support Volunteer - Support women and men within the community affected by DA, by attending specific drop-in sessions at family hubs and other locations. Arrange any events within the community. Research local events the women can take part in. Identify events we can participate in to raise awareness of our services. Manage the Counselling administration function.
