Counselling

Warrington Women’s Aid offers a free, specialist counselling service for women who are already receiving support from a local IDVA, whether through WWA or the Domestic Abuse Hub. Demand is high, so there is a waiting list, but once allocated, women typically receive a focused block of around six weekly sessions, with the option to extend where additional therapeutic support is needed. It’s a safe, confidential space designed to help survivors rebuild confidence, process their experiences, and move forward with the right emotional support at the right time.

Sessions are delivered in Warrington town centre for face to face delivery, but we also have online access for those who may face intersectional barriers. Referrals to the counselling service are made via your Support Worker/ IDVA (Indenpedent Domestic Violence Advisor).

Should you need support around any domestic abuse related issues, please contact us on 01925 417138 or via our ‘Contact us’ page.
