Donate

As a charity, we rely heavily on the kindness of others in the form of donations.

Whilst we would love to take in clothing donations, we have an issue with lack of storage so we are running a Crowd Funding campaign to raise funds for a shed that will become our ‘Donation Station’ where women and children can collect clothing and other essential items when they have fled with just the clothing on their back.

Leave a gift in your Will

By remembering Warrington Women’s Aid in your Will, you can help women and children find safety, recover from domestic abuse, and rebuild their lives. It’s a powerful, lasting way to stand with people in our community—today and for generations to come.

Your legacy could help to…

After you’ve taken care of the people you love, even a small gift can make a meaningful difference. Many people choose to leave a percentage of their estate, so the value of the gift rises in line with their circumstances.

How to leave a gift in your Will

  1. Speak to a solicitor (or use a professional Will-writing service) to make or update your Will.

  2. Decide whether you’d like to leave a share (residuary gift) or a fixed amount (pecuniary gift).

  3. Include our details accurately so your wishes can be carried out.

Suggested wording (to share with your solicitor)

Please note: this is not legal advice. Your solicitor can advise on the right wording for your circumstances.

Residuary gift (a share): “I give [__]% of the residue of my estate to Warrington Women’s Aid of [address], registered charity number [if applicable], for its general charitable purposes, and I declare that the receipt of the Treasurer or other proper officer shall be a full discharge to my executors.”

Pecuniary gift (a fixed amount): “I give the sum of £[__] to Warrington Women’s Aid of The Gateway, Sankey Street, Warrington, WA1 1SR registered charity number 11307038, for its general charitable purposes, and I declare that the receipt of the Treasurer or other proper officer shall be a full discharge to my executors.”
